How much fraud is hiding in your data?
TL;DR: Fraud is probably already hiding in your customer data.
We are inviting businesses to run a sample of historic records through Vouchsafe and see what a real-time fraud intelligence network can uncover without an integration or changes to the customer journey.
Everyone knows fraud is on the rise. It’s the most common crime in the UK, and not only is it getting more common, but the average attack is getting more sophisticated.
AI tools mean that it’s practical to turn convincingly fake faces, voices and documents against ever smaller targets. Small businesses now need the fraud defences that only the largest enterprises did five years ago.
But when attackers strike, it’s rarely the first and only time.
That means comparing notes on fraud patterns is incredibly worthwhile, but legal and technical difficulties mean it is rarely done today. Shamefully, most fraud intelligence stays stuck inside the business that found it.
The FCA and the Bank of England have both recently called for more sharing of fraud intelligence across the economy.
What happens when businesses connect their data
And we already know what happens when organisations connect their data.
The UK’s National Fraud Initiative compares records across more than 1,100 organisations. Between 2022 and 2024, it uncovered or prevented half a billion in fraud, errors and overpayments.
That included:
- £137.8 million found by matching private and public-sector data;
- 6,194 suspicious pension cases, worth £179.4 million; and
- millions more connected to undeclared earnings, false residency claims and tenancy fraud.
Across the wider economy, businesses recorded more than 444,000 fraud cases in 2025. Almost three quarters involved identity fraud or account takeover.
The problem is now so rife across the economy that companies like Goodlord are now warning about it in their own sectors.
The real-time fraud intelligence network
Vouchsafe solves this problem with one, simple API to instantly understand customer risk.
We do the hard work of pooling fraud reports and anomalies together across all our participating businesses in real time, as well as official and semi-official data from our partners.
You search with what you know about a customer, and we tell you how likely that identity is to be stolen, made-up or linked to other misuse.
It is the world’s first real-time fraud intelligence network.

See what is hiding in your data
We are inviting a small number of businesses to analyse a historic sample of customer records with Vouchsafe.
You provide the standard identity data you already hold, like name, date of birth, address, email and phone number. We screen it against our real-time network intelligence and partner data, then show you:
- identities linked to known fraud or misuse
- suspicious connections and anomalies within the portfolio
- risks your existing checks may have missed
- where stronger checks could have the most impact
There is no technical integration and no change to your customer experience. It is a simple way to test the value of connected fraud intelligence using your own data.
