Lightning Reach joins Vouchsafe’s fraud intelligence network

We’re delighted to welcome Lightning Reach to Vouchsafe’s growing fraud intelligence network, helping more people access vital financial support quickly, safely and without unnecessary barriers.
Lightning Reach helps people find and access grants, benefits and other financial assistance. More than 400,000 people have already used its platform, accessing over £35 million in support, with thousands of schemes available across the UK.
Following its recent acquisition by European Technology Group, Lightning Reach has even bigger ambitions: helping one million people access financial support by 2028.
Through our partnership, Lightning Reach will use Vouchsafe’s real-time fraud intelligence to strengthen its data-driven identity checks, improve document verification and protect the organisations distributing support from increasingly sophisticated fraud.
This is great news for the charities, councils, housing providers and other organisations using Lightning Reach. Stronger fraud prevention means less time spent investigating suspicious applications, more confidence in decisions and more resources reaching the people who genuinely need them.
But we’re particularly excited about what comes next.
Together, we’re exploring ways for people to prove something about themselves once, rather than repeatedly, making it easier to access support from multiple organisations without having to submit the same evidence over and over again.
