You can now add comments to your Vouchsafe accounts

TL;DR: Risk checks and verification results now support comments so you can add missing context and keep everything in one place.

We originally imagined that Vouchsafe would always be used alongside and integrated with some other system of record – a core banking platform, a CRM or other “main” database of customers.

But over the last year we’ve seen a big increase in businesses using Vouchsafe as a standalone solution, especially smaller businesses vetting their clients, employees or partners.

We’ve also found that even larger enterprises spinning up new products won’t have all the internal tools and admin panels in place on day one, and anything we can do to help them keep everything they know about a customer in one place is much valued.

We’ve historically resisted these kinds of “case management” feature requests because we don’t want Vouchsafe to become a general-purpose CRM, but the requests have now become popular and consistent enough that we’re changing our view.

First up is comments.

You can now store arbitrary extra information alongside a Risk check or verification result. Use it to:

• document a manual review, audit
• add off-platform context that can then be stored alongside the official compliance record

You can find comments in the bottom right of the screen.
