It’s now much easier to build custom interfaces on top of Vouchsafe’s data

TL;DR: The API now returns a much richer payload of all the sub-checks that make up a verification. This makes it easy to build custom admin interfaces on top of Vouchsafe data.
Vouchsafe mostly works with lenders and payments companies that directly serve consumers, but over the past six months we’ve been talking to more B2B customers with platforms of their own in all areas of lending, banking and financial technology.
We’ve heard that it’s important to provide a joined-up experience to their own customers, ideally without needing to visit the Vouchsafe dashboard to understand verification results.
To make that easier, we’ve overhauled our key GetVerification endpoint. Rather than returning a basic summary of the verification, it also now returns:
- a list of all the evidence involved in the verification
- the validations we were able to perform and the data we extracted from each piece of evidence
- the results of the background checks we performed
This data can then be presented in an entirely custom, white-labelled interface.
This is part of our wider initiative to move Vouchsafe in an API-first direction; splitting the platform into smaller chunks that you can call independently, giving our power users absolute flexibility in how they assemble verification flows.
The next step is to offer low-level APIs for features like digital ID, photo ID and supporting documents. This will allow you provide your own capture interface and use Vouchsafe’s market-leading validation technology silently in the background.
