Vouchsafe joins G-Cloud to make public services more inclusive
Vouchsafe, a disruptive, inclusive identity verification service, has been added to the Cloud Software Lot of the government’s G-Cloud procurement platform.
Its addition to G-Cloud means public sector organisations now have ready access to a fast, secure verification platform they can use to verify the identity of almost anyone in the UK, whether or not they have formal photo ID like a passport or driving licence.
This marks a significant step forward in Vouchsafe’s mission to make essential services more accessible and inclusive.
“Identity verification should be a bridge, not a barrier, to accessing vital support and opportunities,” says Vouchsafe CEO Chloe Coleman. “Through G-Cloud, we can more readily help government services across the UK deliver fair and inclusive public services.”
“Public sector agencies have been relying on outdated verification methods for too long,” adds Vouchsafe CTO Jaye Hackett. “Knowledge Based Verification (KBV) is exclusionary, insecure and a poor user experience. By making Vouchsafe available on G-Cloud, we’re helping government move beyond flawed practices and embrace an identity solution that works for everyone.”
Vouchsafe uses biometric vouching alongside traditional checks to ensure everyone can prove who they are, whether they have access to documents or not.
It recently introduced the option for users to verify their identity by connecting Vouchsafe to a bank account through the bank’s API. This feature provides an extra way to verify who they are without needing photo ID.
Vouchsafe’s presence on G-Cloud sets a new standard of inclusive verification for public services, reducing friction while reducing risk of fraud.
