Vouchsafe wins Good Tech Ventures prize
Vouchsafe, the inclusive identity verification platform, has been awarded a £10,000 prize from Good Tech Ventures for its innovative approach to reducing barriers to social mobility.
Good Tech Ventures supports founders and leaders of early-stage ventures that use digital technology to drive positive social change. This year’s winners, Vouchsafe and Cogs AI, were selected from a competitive cohort of over twenty companies.
The decision was made by a panel of expert judges with extensive experience in social innovation and impact investing, evaluating the ventures based on their potential for commercial success and measurable social good.
“This grant highlights the importance of building inclusive technology that shapes a fairer future,” says Vouchsafe CEO Chloe Coleman. “We are grateful to Good Tech Ventures for recognising the work we’re doing to make identity verification accessible to everyone.”
Vouchsafe plans to use the grant to enhance its platform and broaden its reach. Part of the funding will support a trip to Slush, Europe’s leading startup conference in Helsinki, Finland, offering new opportunities to showcase Vouchsafe internationally.
Good Tech Ventures is supported by Catch22, Social Tech Trust, Ufi VocTech Trust, and Microsoft, plays a vital role in helping impact-led tech ventures scale and thrive.
This recognition solidifies Vouchsafe’s place in the growing tech-for-good movement, strengthening its mission to remove barriers to social mobility, starting with the one billion without photo ID.
In September, Chloe was featured in Good Tech Ventures’ Founder Spotlight series, reflecting on the journey of building Vouchsafe.
